    I have a 97 cutlass supreme. My purge solenoid is located behind the coil packs. I have 2 different wires that plugs into the purge valve solenoid. Where does the other one plug into. Giving me a p1655 code. Replaced the solenoid thought it was just an extra wire but can't figure out where it goes.

    awesome video bud , just wondering , it was raining and i left the my battery charging but with the hood closed of course, is it possible that water can effect the distrubutor, because now im having trouble starting, if i let go off the acclerator pedal, the jeep stops...my spark plugs were running smooth, also noticed vibration each time i would start it up since teh rain, this was today..

    • @airenmiller
      @airenmiller Месяц назад

      Moisture in the cap can effect it. Also can be the PCM (computer) not giving spark to all the plugs

    I just did this replacement on my 2008 Escape 3.0 and I found a couple steps to make it even easier. If you pull out the wire harness holder BEFORE you unplug it, you have more room to maneuver. Also, my plug was extremely hard to pull off while pushing the tab, so I used a small, thin flat-blade screwdriver to pry between the male and female sections while pushing the tab. Very little effort was required. Great video! Thanks.

    Dude, you could have cleaned that coil up a bit. The dust all over the tip of the coil body could keep the rubber boot tip from sealing as well as it could.

    This worked like a charm for me today. My 2008 Ridgeline was having trouble starting, would run rough while cold, the temperature gauge would go all the way to max, then a minute later all the way down and keep fluctuating erratically. Also the fan in my engine bay would run after I shut my engine off, which did not usually happen. I got this sensor for like $45 and it took about 10 minutes to change for a novice. My one tip would be do not wrench on the new sensor too tight or it will snap. This video saved me like $300!

    This is my next step, i was misreading the trouble code, for almost 2 year's, and DIY replacing parts for code p0440 , after getting my glasses I saw the trouble code is actually p0446, we shall see how it goes , also bought the Gas tank pressure sensor, I'll have to take to my mechanic for that because it requires dropping the gas tank, I'm no spring chick anymore, thankfully I have a independent self employed honest, and low costs mechanic, probably sees me as his grandma trying to do the work myself, hes a good kid 😊
